Diana Lee
Writer, Lawyer, and advocate in Lawrence, KS
I am a disabled, queer writer, lawyer, and advocate living in Lawrence, Kansas, USA. My interests include Patient Advocacy, Patient Education, Health Care Reform, Disability Justice, and Social Justice. I am an endlessly curious person who loves books and reading, watching “trashy” reality TV shows, watching college football and basketball, playing with makeup, fiber crafts, and spending time with my partner and child.
I create and share content on Instagram and write about:
- My experiences living and coping with debilitating daily migraine symptoms;
- Mental health challenges and trauma;
- Navigating the legal issues faced by disabled and chronically ill people;
- Ableism;
- Social justice;
- Books, reading, reality TV, and pop culture;
- And the crushing force of living under late-stage capitalism and burgeoning fascism.

Most years I participate in the Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy (AHDA) event called Headache on the Hill to lobby Members of Congress for much-needed policy changes and increases in research funding for migraine, cluster headache and other headache disorders.
If you are preparing to apply for Social Security Disability benefits, I can help you navigate the application process, which can be incredibly intimidating and scary. I'm also available to advise you about other legal issues you might be dealing with as a result of chronic health conditions, such as the need for accommodations at work or intermittent leave.
