I am an aspiring dancer and choreographer. Since the age of nine i've taught myself how to dance from watching music videos with quality choreography, from Micheal Jackson to Aaliyah. I've won amazing dance contests around the neighborhood of Ewing, New Jersey where I reside. Receiving amazing compliments from my peers in school talent shows and events in middle school to high school, I felt I had a purpose.
As time went on I transitioned to follow God and was called to ministry in 2008. I worked along side my praise dance partner, Barbara Owens, at church we were members of in Trenton, NJ and created a praise dance group called "God's Angels". They took off and started a dance ministry at their fathers church when he was called to pastor later on. After my partner and I seperated for a while, for we had different callings on our lives, she began a dance ministry outside of church and so did I.
I followed what God told me to do and began Dance 4 God. As of now its being created as a guide book for praise dance beginners. In the midst of this, churches in the Trenton area and South Jersey area have requested me to praise dance at their worship services, concerts, and anniversaries. I presently volunteer ministering in dance at Gwendolyn Miller Charities, Inc.'s events, formed by my aunt, Gwendolyn Miller, in the Trenton area. My purpose is to spread the good news of the Lord through dance to the masses and teach the understanding of praise dance. So after praying and asking God what to call this dance ministry that He positioned me to lead, the words "world wide kept popping up in my head. I did not understand why until He revealed to me that dance is a universal language and ministry is an activity christians join to express and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. Thus in the beginning of 2015, WorldWide Dance Ministry is born!
WorldWide Dance Ministry leads by the scripture: 1 Peter 4:10 (KJV) – “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” Dance is a universal language meaning that dance or movement is communicated or expressed regardless of nationality or background. So what this ministry does is serve the Lord by expressing the Gospel through dancing and teaches praise dance knowledge and choreography.
