Dr. Dan Pezzulo, an experienced psychologist and psychotherapist in the state of Pennsylvania, is a dedicated, passionate, interactive, sincere professional who truly enjoys the work he does on a daily basis.
Dr. Dan Pezzulo earned a Master’s Degree with a specialization in Cognitive Behavioral psychotherapy, from the University of Pittsburgh. Fascinated with answering questions about the provision of psychological and educational services, Dr. Pezzulo earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Pezzulo subsequently completed a 2 year Post-Doctoral Program in School Psychology at Duquesne University.Dr. Pezzulo is a Board Certified School Neuropsychologist (ABSNP) Licensed Clinical Social Worker, & Nationally Certified School Psychologist.
Dr. Pezzulo began providing outpatient psychological and educational services in a private practice setting in 1990. He has provided psychological and educational services in other settings. Dr. Pezzulo developed and supervised a rural Partial Hospitalization Program; he led a multi-disciplinary inpatient team at a private psychiatric hospital; and, he provided services to hundreds of college aged students.
Dr. Pezzulo regularly lectured at the University of Pittsburgh on the topics of psychological and diagnostic assessment and psychopharmacology. Dr. Pezzulo also taught undergraduate and graduate courses in Research Methodology, Statistics,and Clinical Practice.
Dr. Pezzulo has created school wide behavioral intervention programs;drafted and revised district policies and procedures; managed a multi-community district wide Crisis Response Team; and provided direct services for students (elementary through graduate school) and families throughout Pennsylvania.
Most importantly, Dan remains married to the love of his life for 30 years, is blessed to be a dad, and enjoys being the proud owner of a curious cat and mischievous basset hound. His children have involved him in such things as Cross Fit, 4H, Western Gaming, Rodeo, and various obstacle races like Battle-frog, which honors the US Navy Seals.
In his free time Dan enjoys playing drums and percussion. For the past 12 years he has played with jazz bands, worship bands, adult and children’s choirs, and orchestras of various sizes.
