I am a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist, with degrees from McGill University (B.A., First Class Honours), and Queen’s University (M.A., Ph. D). Recently I completed my Masters in Business Administration at the Calgary campus of the University of Phoenix. I divide my time about equally between providing psychotherapy for a range of issues (depression, anxiety, relationships, work and workplace related concerns, bullying and harassment, substance use issues, anger and aggression, etc), with people of all ages; coaching for business and life, and psychological assessments, often for court or litigation purposes. I conduct corporate training, deliver workshops (many areas, but lately related to workplace bullying, mental health in the workplace, advanced skills training, and understanding and dealing with difficult and challenging workers. I conduct expert reviews of mental health files and mental health reports, offer litigation support, and have testified extensively as an expert witness in courts, arbitrations and administrative tribunals. I have advanced training and practice in the areas of workplace bullying, workplace substance use, risk management, risk assessment and prediction, criminal profiling, threat assessment, violence and aggression intervention, and workplace violence. I help organizations develop internal screening methods, workplace violence and drug policies, bullying and harassment policies and protocols, and how to manage internal crisis situations. I prepare psychological evaluations for all Court jurisdictions, and have testified over 350 times as an expert witness in the Court of Queen’s Bench, Provincial Court, Family and Youth Court, Labour Arbitrations, and administrative tribunals.
