Student in Lawrence, Kansas
I currently work at the University of Kansas Career Center as the Kansas Work Study Coordinator. In this position, I am tasked with maintaining the program's annual budget and allocating it appropriately throughout the year to local employers looking to hire part-time student employees. It’s my job to assist in the part-time employment of KU students in jobs or positions that will further their work experience and prepare students for a career in their desired field.
When I am not at the UCC, I can be found around campus, but mostly in the library as I am on scholarship through the Ernst & Young Scholars program while I pursue my Masters in Accounting. This summer I had the opportunity work with Ernst & Young in Melbourne, Australia where became familiar with the business practices and cultural nuances of this beautiful country (check out photos from my experience in the link on my page)!
In my free time, I enjoy photography, playing the piano, and spending time by Potter Lake in my hammock. If you spot an electric blue hammock out by the lake, odds are, it is me enjoying some quiet time in one of my favorite places! Rock Chalk!
