Hello! I am currently a 2nd year Horticulture Student at NTU (Nottingham Trent University). I am working as a self employed gardener at the moment too, in order to expand my horticultural knowledge.

I have had experience working on an organic farm through WWOOF UK, learning about Permaculture and how to be self-sufficient. I got to do some fun tasks and creative projects, such as; willow work, dead hedging and fruit picking.

I have visited many places related to Horticulture over the years, but when I was younger I had no idea what Horticulture was, but nevertheless I thoroughly enjoyed visiting these places; Chatsworth House, Calke Abbey, Lea Gardens, Haddon Hall and Bodnant Gardens to name but a few.

I first had an interest for the outdoors whilst studying Geography at GCSE and A-Level where I went to the Lake District and I was also fortunate enough to go to Iceland. I also like photographing nature as my pass time hobby.

I feel Horticulture is a subject that is not often talked about because when I tell people that I am studying Horticulture, there response tends to be "And what is that exactly?"
