Hi! I'm Erica, an accomplished communicator with deep publishing and nonprofit expertise as well as personal passions for animal protection and athletics. I'm skilled in many capacities from editing, writing, and social media, to public speaking and face-to-face community outreach.

As an editor and project manager, I have managed content development in various media–printed text, e-pub, online learning, photography, illustration, web, apps, interactive, and video. In each modality, I've collaborated with authors, technical developers, artists, and designers to create effective publications.

Throughout my career I've hired and supervised writers and editors and am skilled at defining roles, delegating responsibilities, and supporting others to produce quality materials. I'm equally hands-on in developing and refining content, especially at the earliest stages. I find great satisfaction in participating in teams of passionate and talented people who challenge one another to do their best work every day.

I am a nonprofit advocate and have taken leadership roles with several organizations focused on community organizing, wellness, and animal protection. I have been on the organizing committee for Oakland Veg Week for 2015–2017. I also am active with The Humane League and have co-captained Team Humane League Bay Area in the 2016 and 2017 seasons. More recently I have joined the board of the Oakland Triathlon Club as director of communications.

I am a graduate of the certificate program in social media marketing at CSU East Bay. My expertise in how to develop and nurture online communities and how to most effectively utilize and gauge the effectiveness of social media outreach is deepening rapidly.
