I’m a proud Mexico City native who’s been calling Oakland, CA, home since 2001. My love for language and storytelling first took shape through my studies in media and my work in advertising and radio, where I learned how powerful words can be. That passion evolved into a career as a Spanish Interpreter, blending creativity with communication to bridge cultural gaps.

I’ve earned certifications in Legal, Medical, and Community interpreting, and I’m a Certified Healthcare Interpreter (CHI) and licensed trainer. At Oakland Unified School District, I’m fully immersed in my role as an interpreter, using my skills and creativity to ensure every student and family feels heard and understood.

With more than eight years of experience in education, I’m a passionate advocate for raising the standards for interpreters and translators. Since 2021, I’ve been proud to serve on the Communications Committee for the American Association of Interpreters and Translators in Education (AAITE), where I help shape the conversation around professionalism and best practices in our field.

Words are my craft, connection is my goal, and every conversation is a chance to build understanding and community.
