I am a M.Sc. graduated at University of Trento (Computer Science). I currently work as lead big data engineer at Teralytics AG, where we flip bits to extract knowledge from the data people produce. I am the guy responsible for the data acquisition, extraction, transformation and anonymisation managing a team of five engineers responsible for one of the primary pipeline in the company.
In the past I worked as crime analyst and researcher at the eCrime research group at the University of Trento. I previously worked as researcher developer with my thesis advisor, prof. John Mylopoulos, on the creation of a new modelling language. My research interests include business modelling, conceptual modelling and business intelligence. I also successfully carried out projects and activities tied with keyword searching and semantic analysis. I'm the lead developer of iScout which is an application for tracking tours that allows people to quickly add pictures, audio and textual annotations. It also supports online syncronisation of tours to a remote web portal and supports KMZ file ready to import into Google Earth. I also developed commercial applications targetting the iPhone and iPad platforms. I'm a computer enthusiast and currently I manage my own weblog that is running on a XEN paravirt guest (Gentoo/Linux); I worked as Gentoo/Linux contributor (gentoo-sunrise); I'm a freelance consultant; I'm also a self-taught musician and composer (keyboard) and I like to take pictures from time to time. I'm always open to new challenges and opportunities so, if you want to get in touch with me, feel free to do that!
