Hi! I'm Giulio Bonanome, I was born in the far far 1983, I ran in zigzag between an accountant technical college, one year of computer science at the university, a bachelor degree in Japanese and, finally, happily ended at a master degree in Humanities Computing.
In april 2010 I took the degree with a master thesis titled "An open source ILS for library automation. Koha hypothesis for Ca' Foscari university".
During my studies I understood that I'm not able to explain what humanities computing means, there are 'humanities computer experts", "informatics for humanities", "human computer experts", "informed humanists" and so on... Personally I end up trip over digital divide and clashing on library automation. I'm a fan of knowledge circulation.
I've worked at Comperio srl, an italian library automation company, for 4 years. Then I've landed at TwoReads, a startup about book discovery and reccomandation, for 6 months. Now I'm a freelancer trying to work with kids&programming.
