Based in San Francisco for almost 10 years, Geraldine Le Meur is a French Entrepreneur.
Over the past 20 years, she co-founded LeWeb and several successful tech companies. She has held senior management & marketing roles in those companies.
As an Angel Investor she invested in companies such as LinkedIn, LendingClub or Evernote.
In 2016, she's been voted one of the most inspiring 50 women in tech in Europe.
Geraldine is starting a new company, The Refiners a cross border accelerator that helps foreign startups thrive in Silicon Valley.
She is also board member of the Sigfox Foundation.
In 2004, Geraldine co-founded LeWeb.
LeWeb brings together more than 3'000 entrepreneurs, brands, geeks, investors and press from 80 countries in Paris. According to The Economist, "LeWeb is where revolutionaries gather to plot the future. In April 2015, Geraldine acquired back LeWeb [sold to Reed Exhibitions in 2012] with Loic .
Prior to that, she co-founded and managed Ublog, one of the first blogging services in Europe and served as Marketing Director of Six Apart EMEA from 2003 to 2007, when Ublog was acquired by Six Apart (now Say Media).
In 1997, she co-founded and served as CEO for RapidSite France, the first shared Web hosting company. RapidSite France was later sold to France Telecom.
She also co-founded and served as Executive VP of B2L, one of the first Web agencies back in 1995, which was acquired by BBDO (Omnicom group).
Geraldine is 44 years old and she is the mother of 3 boys. She graduated in 1995 from SKEMA Business School and lives in San Francisco.
