Welcome to Hola Lingo!

Soy Gloria, and I'm excited to be your guide on this Spanish-learning adventure. Originally from Chile, I bring over a decade of experience teaching Spanish to students of all ages and levels.

My journey has taken me through various esteemed educational institutions, including the Orinda, Walnut Creek, San José, Los Gatos,and Palo Alto school districts as well as Berlitz.

I also have a background in law, holding a Master’s Degree from UC Law San Francisco. This experience adds depth to my lessons, making them practical and relevant for various contexts, whether academic or professional.

Each lesson is personalized to match your interests and goals, whether you want to learn Spanish from scratch, enhance your skills, achieve academic success, prepare for a trip, boost your memory, communicate effectively with clients or patients or reconnect with your Hispanic roots.

Spanish Lessons for Kids

Join the fun with Hola Lingo’s Spanish classes for kids! Our interactive lessons feature colorful slides, games, exciting videos, and Kahoot to keep students engaged while building real language skills through practical topics like introductions, everyday conversations, and Hispanic culture. Small-group lessons are $50/hr and include all materials, giving kids plenty of opportunities to participate, practice speaking, and gain confidence in Spanish. Classes are available online or in person.

Spanish Lessons for adults

At Hola Lingo, I offer tailored conversational Spanish lessons for adults, whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced learner. Each class lasts about an hour and is held weekly. Lessons are $60/hr, including all materials, and are taught in small groups that encourage conversation, participation, and personalized attention. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore a language you’ve always wanted to learn while immersing yourself in rich Hispanic culture.

Spanish Family Coach

Learn Spanish together as a family with HolaLingo in fun and interactive sessions designed to keep both kids and adults engaged through conversation, games, and cultural activities. Each lesson is tailored to your family’s goals so you can build real communication skills and incorporate Spanish into your daily life. Sessions are for up to 4 family members, cost $125 per hour, and are available online or in person. Let’s learn and grow together as a family.

Spanish Lessons for Seniors

I’m excited to offer weekly conversational Spanish lessons tailored for seniors! I love sharing my culture and helping students explore the richness of Latino and Spanish heritage. Each one-hour class is a fun and engaging way to connect with others. Research shows that learning a new language enhances neuroplasticity, helping support memory and cognitive health. Lessons are $50/hr and are available online and in person.
