COMPULSIVELY CURIOUS, SYSTEM-THINKING, PEOPLE-PERSON

My focus is an internal one, the same with people as it is with systems; I want to know how things work and what makes it/us tick. Exploring the innate nature of people, cognition, psychology, neurology, biology, culture, beliefs and how it all comes together to shape what we are and what we present to the world. The more technical advances we make, along with the more inhabitants we become on this planet, the more systems we put in place, and the higher the demands on interaction between people and these systems for optimal efficiency, and not least to also nurture engagement and innovation to bring us even further along.

High-tech systems, societal structures, company structures, information logistics, physical flows etc – if not done right, we risk creating systems that alienate and disconnect us rather than bring us together. I'm for humane systems, that work for people – instead of people working for systems. Bottom line, when it comes to business, is that it's all about people; we produce products for and work with, people, clients, investors etc – they're all people – we're all human.

I have an interest in HR, organization and business development, company culture, group dynamics, psychology, cognition and personality, system-building and system-people interaction. And as a systems-thinking people-person – what could possibly be more interesting than personality theories and people-categorization systems?

I'm doing independent research into personality, cognition and have focused mostly on Jung's theory of Psychological Types (the underlying theory which the MBTI is based on, which is the most recognized type-tool related to the theory), and my interest is to modernize and evolve it as well as develop new and better ways of make it useful for organizational purposes.
