Read my book

I am Hendrik and I was born in the early 70s in a small town in The Netherlands.

I remember growing up with fantastic science fiction series on television: Battlestar Galactica, Logan’s Run, Space 1999, Dr Who, and Buck Rogers just to name a few.
And also being amazed by films such as Star Wars, Blade Runner and 2001: a Space Odyssey.

Most of my childhood I spent on my bicycle to visit my local library; I would spend hours reading books about Earth, nature, our Solar System and the stars.

My first science fiction novels were by Jules Verne, and I was mesmerised by the Tintin comics Destination Moon, and Explorers on the Moon.

I always believed I was born 100 years too early, because as long as I can remember I wanted to be the captain of my own spaceship and fly between the stars. But that never stopped me from dreaming, and instead of becoming an astronaut; I did the next best thing and started writing Science Fiction.

In the late 90s I moved to London, where still I live today.

A few years ago I had a very vivid dream. I remember waking up and remembering every detail: a massive green coloured cube that was on its way to Earth. I was excited and exhilarated by the images and the enormity of the events happening. That morning the idea for Ophiuchus Cube, book 1 was born.
I told my friends, and everyone loved my story and they insisted I should write a book. So I did!

This novel is a stand-alone story, but it will be the first in a series of 6 books. In the next books you will be taken on a journey where no one has been before and you will find out what happens to all the characters and how they cope with everything that is thrown at them. You will meet new people and aliens and you will be taken to strange, but exciting worlds. I am working hard to write and publish the next 5 books in the next 5 years.
