I'm Howard Saltz. I am the Knight Innovator-in-Residence and Executive Director of the South Florida Media Network at Florida International University in Miami. I am formerly the Editor of the Sun Sentinel in Fort Lauderdale.

I've been in the journalism business for more than 30 years. One of my proudest moments was helping the Sun Sentinel win the 2013 Pulitzer Prize Gold Medal for Public Service.

I'm known as the "Convergence King" for developing newspaper and TV partnerships and for creating newsrooms that integrate all platforms.

I often judge others on their ability to quote from “Lebowski.”

I would support a Constitutional amendment to ban the designated hitter from baseball.

I was the Chairman of the Dean’s Advisory Board for the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Florida International University. I was a Pulitzer Prize juror.

Here is some more "About Me":

Howard Saltz is a frequent speaker for organizations such as the Newspaper Association of America, Investigative Reporters & Editors, the National Press Club, Poynter Institute, and many universities.
