Community Development, Program Development, and Social Work in Calgary, Alberta, Canada
I am committed to influencing systemic changes with evidence-based policies that work to enhance social justice and equity for all persons and communities. I founded and led both Helping Youth Through Educational Scholarships (10 years) and Iron Lava Corp (15 years) and have provided leadership to three other NGOs as a member of their boards of directors.
In August 2015, I completed a Master of Social Work specializing in International and Community Development. You can find my ePortfolio at http://pliszka.com/msw.
Currently, I work in Community Engagement for the Cumming School of Medicine with the University of Calgary.
Selections of places I've worked or volunteered:

I have fond memories of working as a beekeeper during high school and my first year of undergrad studies.
