Dr. Ijaz Ahmad, MD, FACC, is the Founder and Medical Director of Park Slope Cardiac & Diagnostic Center in Brooklyn, where he leads a practice focused on non-invasive and nuclear cardiology. Growing up in Gujranwala, Pakistan, he witnessed the toll heart disease took on families without access to cardiac care, an experience that led him toward cardiology. He earned his medical degree from Allama Iqbal Medical College, then trained in New York, completing his residency at Interfaith Medical Center and a cardiology fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, holds an ongoing role at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, and previously held an attending physician role at NYU Langone Health from 2020 to 2023. He has also expanded his practice into medically underserved parts of New York City.
