Ivonne Cameron, MPA, NRPP, PMP is President & CEO of the Hepatitis Foundation International (HFI). The HFI is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization established in 1994 to eradicate chronic hepatitis for 550 million people globally. HFI is also dedicated to increasing and promoting health and wellness, and reducing the incidence of preventable liver-related chronic diseases and lifestyles that negatively impact the liver. These diseases and issues include; obesity, diabetes, hepatitis, substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, cardiovascular disease and fatty/liver cancer.
During her career, Ms. Cameron has also held positions as CEO, Think Outside The Box, LLC, Co-Founder and Board Chair, Third Millennium Health COOP of DC, Assistant Professor, Allied Health Sciences Department at Howard University, was chosen as a Fellow with the Harvard University Policy Institute and has consulted on Capitol Hill as a Senior Policy Fellow. Ivonne has also held the position of Associate Executive Director with the National Medical Association. Ms. Cameron has been honored as a nominee for the 2013 White House Champion of Change in Public Health and Prevention and recognized as a Community Leader in Who’s Who of Washington, DC 2010.
She has secured over $187M in funding for programs, projects, special events and launched corporate advisory boards and successfully submitted appropriation requests’ to Congress, for $20M to fund global health initiatives. As an entrepreneur, Ms.Cameron has launched eleven viable companies across different industries. Ivonne is a nationally registered prevention professional and her academic background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in International Business and Spanish Studies and a Master’s Degree in Public Health Administration. She also holds a Non-Profit Executive Certificate from Rutgers Business School.
