Lori Saint Rome
Student and Photographer in Florida
My name is Lori and I am from Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I moved to Florida about five years ago, but Haiti is still a big part of me. I am a lover of God, all things artsy, and an avid learner.
To me, art is not only a way of expression, but also a way of life. I was always passionate by reading, writing, and drawing for as far as I can remember. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I come from a family of artists. I was always exposed to art as my father and many of my uncles are painters/photographers/writers. One of my best memories is painting over the portraits that my dad would be working on. He never got mad no matter how many times my not so professional doodles messed up his work. He sometimes even kept them as part of his work and my four-year self would feel so proud. (Ha! Good old days!).
Anyway, I am currently a student majoring in Civil Engineering, a part-time photographer, a crafter, and a not-so-advanced guitar player who is dancing, traveling, and loving through life.
