Greetings, I’m Jahmere Turner. I’m a 14 year old Freshman attending Van Horn High School. I was born in Brooklyn, New York but later moved to Miami, Florida until finally finding my destination in Independence, Missouri. Growing up I lived with my mom, and 2 brothers Xavier and Isaiah.

Growing up I’ve discovered different things that I have interests that not even for a second did I think I would ever. During my free time which since high school I haven’t had a lot of. I enjoy acting, taking photos, and spending time with friends and family. My immediate family is very orientated and I love it. While with family we love cooking, cleaning, and going on road trips! My family is my #1 supporter and has always had my best interest at heart, and it’s really comforting to know that I have people around me that genuinely care.

After high school I plan on going to college to major in Arts & Education, for Acting. Ever since I was little I used to put on plays for my family in the living room, and act like I was Jahmere Turner from Disney Channel, I’ve attended many auditions that parts that I’ve been accepted to, and I love it. Something about acting really releases another part of who I am, and it shows my creative side.

I’m a very outgoing, humble, person. I love making people happy, and I love being the person who an individual goes to for advice. Being able to help someone through a situation, and knowing you succeeded is one of the best feelings you can get. Over the years I’ve grown to be more independent, and rely on myself more than to rely on others, and I love that about myself. That I can do for me. Lastly, I’ve also learned to mature, let things go, move on, and just keep the past in the past.

When it comes to work I’m a very determined person to put in all my effort to make sure it’s my best, and I think that’s a really important skill to make sure everything you do is 100% because you never know who will see it, and have an impression on you just based on your work ethic. I take advantage of the opportunities that I have to get extra work done, such as extra credit. Because it improves my grades, and keeps me busy.
