I was born with Spina Bifida on November 3, 1976 in New York. It wasn't until high school, when I joined the newspaper staff, that I decided I wanted to be a writer. After graduation, writing was put aside for a while. I attended to college and received an Associates degree in 1999. I then moved to Florida, where I was an active volunteer in the local historical society and remained active in the arts. It wasn’t until 2005 that I wrote my first children's book, The Adventures of Baby Jaimie, based on my own experiences growing up disabled. It was published in 2006. Since that time I have written a several books in multiple genres. To view my titles, visit my site http://www.jaimiehope.com.
