I am Lead Data Scientist for Phylagen Inc., in San Francisco, CA. I am broadly interested in understanding microorganisms in the built environment. As a result, my work revolves around multivariate statistical computing and developing methods for analyzing, communicating, and visualizing complex data. Most recently I was a postdoctoral research associate with the Biology and the Built Environment Center, at the University of Oregon, where we explored microbial communities in buildings, as well as those associated with humans, as a way to understand the drivers of microbial community assembly in the built environment. My dissertation research was focused on geothermal soil ecology in Yellowstone National Park.
