An award-winning writer and social-media hack, Jason Filiatrault has worked for feature films, television, short films, and web series… he basically just writes things and then, if he's lucky, someone films them.

Jason’s first feature, Entanglement, is in post-production for a 2017 release. Entanglement stars Thomas Middleditch ( HBO's Silicon Valley) and Jess Weixler (Apartment Therapy, Teeth), and is executive-produced by Kirsten Smith (10 Things I Hate About You, Whip It).

Jason's other feature work include writing dialogue for William Shatner in the cult hit "A Christmas Horror Story" and the sexy rom-com "Three To Get Ready" (currently in pre-production).

Jason is currently pitching a new animated comedy series with movie star Mila Kunis based on Jason's parody Twitter account "Sarcastic Rover" - he has also has developed sitcoms with the CBC and eOne. Jason wrote for the Rogers/CBC sitcom "Young Drunk Punk" created by and starring Bruce McCulloch (Kids in the Hall), and served as a story-editor for the CTV comedy "Spun Out".

As a director, Jason's first short film - an absurd short comedy called "Three In A Bed" screened at the Calgary Underground Film Festival in 2014. Its sequel, Three In A Car, screened in 2015.

Recent awards include a ‘Shorty Award’ for Jason’s Twitter account @SarcasticRover (which has over 218,000 followers), an AMPIA Award for the web-series Bunny Hug, and consecutive second and first place awards in the Alberta Screenwriter’s Initiative.

Jason is represented by The Gersh Agency, and misrepresented by himself.
