I became known as "Jendel" to a few friends in college. I ran for student resident representative in the days when handwriting was the way to communicate. Someone mis-read the name Jeanette as Jendel. Some people still address me that way.
I was born and raised in New Castle County, Delaware, I've lived the last 30 years in Brandywine Hundred - I don't move around much and am glad of it. I like the sense of place in which I live and work. The photo was taken on a recent trip to the Big Island of Hawaii. Island fever can be very catching!
Much of my work life has been in the non-profit world, from a United Way agency to local cultural attractions. My background is in visitor services, with some public relations/marketing and radio, newspaper and direct marketing as well. It's a diverse history and has led me to where I am today.
