Jeff Dennis

Originally from the west Texas area, I am an Assistant Professor and the Director of the Applied Practice Experience in the Department of Public Health at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX. I taught Sociology at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin for 5 years before that. I also spent a year on research faculty in Internal Medicine at TTUHSC. My research explores a wide array of social and behavioral factors as they relate to health and wellness.
I received a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2010. I have been married to my wife Heather (a counselor) since 2006, and we have two children.
