John Kai Lassen
Over the past four decades, John Kai Lassen has enjoyed an outstanding career practicing law. Due to his high level of success and his capable handling of legal issues, Mr. Lassen has been included in the list of Who's Who in American Law every year since 1991. Currently, John Lassen serves as the Managing Director of Rockwick Capital, LLC, a position he has held since 2008. The firm is dedicated to providing funding to the owners of oil fields and mine. Mr. Lassen runs all aspects of the business.
Prior to assuming his current position, John Kai Lassen worked as a corporate lawyer with Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tennell, LLP, specializing in corporate structuring and debt and equity offerings. Mr. Lassen launched his career as a corporate lawyer with Lord Day & Lord.
Before starting his career, Mr. Lassen earned his Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Yale University. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He is a member of the American Bar Association, as well as the Delaware State Bar Association, which he formerly served as Chairman of the Trusts and Estates Section.
John Kai Lassen is an extremely active member of his community. He belongs to the Rotary Club of Wilmington and has served as a board member and Club Secretary. Mr. Lassen also participates in the Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of Delaware. He has held a number of posts with the organization, including Counselor, Captain, Secretary, Deputy Governor, and Governor. Since 2003, he has served as the Vice President of the Huguenot Society of Delaware. Mr. Lassen is also a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, the General Society of the Colonial Wars, and the General Society of the War of 1812. Mr. Lassen was also elected to the Yale Alumni Fund Board of Directors.
