Jonathan Demar

New York, NY

Jonathan Demar began his journey in the arts when he was 7. Born in New York City, he started off as the youngest member of a Westchester County Christmas caroling group. Only a few years later, while starting with the New York City Opera Children's Chorus, he enrolled in the Professional Children’s School. Since then, he has worked in the business both on stage and behind the scenes.

As an actor, he made his Broadway debut in “A Christmas Carol” starting F. Murray Abraham. His other New York theater credits include Beast on the Moon (directed by Larry Moss), The Alchemists (Prospect Theater Company), Willy Wonka (MTI), Tosca (New York City Opera), and A Gilbert and Sullivan Christmas Carol (New Punctuation Army). On TV, he has appeared on Comedy Central, The Onion News Network, The View, and Eyewitness Kids News. Demar has also recorded for both The Sugar Beats and Camp Broadway.

As a producer, he served as Executive Producer for the BlogTalk Radio Internet program BlazinRy Radio, where he was responsible for attracting high profile guests including Kellie Pickler, Tammy Blanchard, and Biz Markie. He also served as producer for the program’s 1st anniversary show at the HA! Midtown Comedy Club Theater. In 2003, he organized a benefit in Westchester that featured many of his friends from Christmas Carol and other Broadway shows in order to raise funds for Autism research.

Demar is a proud graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as a proud member of Sigma Phi Epsilon.
