Schuster is Chairman, CEO and Co-Founder of Solarback, a Florida-born initiative acting as a private equity fund and quisi-REIT attractive to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) investors. Schuster is responsible for the overall leadership of the company, bringing over 20 years’ experience in the real estate industry into the energy industry and focuses on new markets and customers, as well as project inception and development. Florida is currently among only a handful of states unable to broker Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and Solarback is helping bridge the gap by, for the first time, enabling commercial property owners/managers to generate additional revenue with minimal investment by using its solar arrays to offset dirty energy with clean, carbon-free energy.

Prior to Solarback, Schuster completed more than $2.3 billion in real estate projects, representing over 3.2 million square feet of mixed-use residential, retail, affordable, and hospitality projects. As a real estate developer, Schuster incorporated green and energy efficient design throughout his multibillion-dollar portfolio. As such, Schuster spearheads strategic direction for the company with a focus on positioning various vertical markets ensuring our strategic global partners and their respective investments yield the desired results. Schuster has been responsible for creating a state-wide industry leading 11 MW pipeline of contracted, utility scale, solar projects in Florida. This portfolio includes many of the largest commercial solar projects in Florida on the roofs of several million square feet.

In addition to being an energy entrepreneur advancing a more inclusive green economy, Schuster focuses on social impact and is an active philanthropist who, amongst his many societal contributions, co-created the Bicol Clinic Foundation, a non-profit that constructs medical clinics in developing countries, Six Wa||s, an NFT-based philanthropic platform Brix & Meta, a web3 platform that supports cross-category interaction.
