Julia Schemmer may only be eighteen, but she's on a mission to change the world. A recent graduate of Norco High School, Schemmer holds a 4.6 grade point average, was president of the Female Empowerment Club, publicist of the American Cancer Society and FIDM Fashion Club, and co-captain of the Mock Trial defense team. During her years at Norco, Schemmer recieved Honors with Distinction, course major metals in Language Arts, Social Science, and World Language, and the California Seal of Billiteracy. She's a national AP scholar, a 2014 Disney Dreamer, a 2015 Global Citizen, and a graduate from the C-Hit Journalism Camp at Yale University.

Schemmer is a current freshman at the University of California, Riverside, pursuing Political Science and Middle Eastern/Islamic Studies. Aside from staying busy at school, Schemmer contributes to national publications such as the Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, CNN, USA Today College, the United Nations, BYou Magazine, and countless others. Schemmer is the founder of The Face of Cancer, a project launched in her community to educate others about the realities of cancer; Rummage4Rwanda, a social media consignment shop raising money for children born out of rape as a result of the Rwandan genocide to gain access to educational resources; and B-Darling Magazine, a media outlet providing professional mentorship for the next generation of ambitious journalists. Her writing has been featured by the UN Day of the Girl, the American Library of Poetry, and the Go for Broke Foundation.

Schemmer has experience red carpet hosting and interviewing celebrities, and has covered events such as the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar's Viewing Party, The Emmy's, the American Music Awards, the Billboard Music Awards, and the Kids Choice Sport Awards. She has interviewed over two hundred celebrities, including Adam Levine, Elton John, Iggy Azelea, and the Osbourne family.

She currently sits on the advisory board for organizations such as Miss Heard Magazine, SchoolJournalism.org, Choices Magazine, and Teen Vogue. Schemmer is the current Director of Communications for Her Culture Magazine, and the former Director of Development for Omics Live. Additionally, she serves as the Global Street Team Manager for the pop-reggae band, MAGIC!
