I am employed full-time as a Data Scientist for Simply Measured. Previously I worked as an Associate Data Scientist on Walmart's Advanced Modeling and Data Research team in the Real Estate division. I am also a Distinguished Doctoral Fellow and doctoral candidate in the Department of Economics at the University of Arkansas, with just my dissertation left to complete (expected summer 2016).

Before coming to the University of Arkansas and Walmart, I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Rhodes College, where I also participated in experimental nuclear physics research. I then went on to obtain a Master of Science degree from Louisiana State University in the field of Medical Physics, having defended my thesis: Design of Electron Dual Foil Scattering Systems for Elekta Infinity Radiotherapy Accelerators under the advisement of Professor Emeritus Kenneth Hogstrom, Ph.D.

Subsequent to graduating from LSU, I began my doctoral studies in Economics at the University of Arkansas. Here my research focuses on inflation and macroeconomic price rigidity and its behavioral and microeconomic causes, as well as empirical economics. For a more detailed summary of my academic work, please refer to my curriculum vitae via LinkedIn.

In my free time I also study philosophy, specifically epistemology, ethics, and social theory. But when I am taking a break from academics I enjoy running, cycling, traveling, cooking, brewing my own beer, and indulging in the occasional dram of fine single malt Scotch whisky.
