Workshop Designer
PROOF is an acronym for the "Progress Report Of Our Future".
I guide young people through STEM (STEAM) workshops, as they explore creative learning projects with purpose! We have FUN while we learn! Researchers have found that play is important for productive thought. Playing with ideas (being creative) also increases learning.
Current Programs:
- Creative Music and Math -Participants learn music through accessible, creative, hands-on experiments. We use on-line music labs as a tool to explore music and its connections to STEAM. This Program is for grades 3rd-6th.
- Programming with Makey-Makey https://makeymakey.com/ Participants will learn how to create their own projects (“Ma-Key”), replacing the mundane and boring keyboard with any object that conducts electricity. Individual or group lessons are provided for ages 10-16.
- Creative Circuitry -Participants use an inquiry-based approach to learn about electricity and make their own projects. They'll explore four basic parts of a circuit: an energy source, conductors, an electrical load, and at least one controller. This program is for grades 3rd-8th.
