Kate Matthews is a 25-year veteran educator with 17 years of educational technology experience. As Instructional Technology & Media Coordinator, she focuses on helping teachers meet the needs of 21st century learners. She has presented at the local, state, and national level for Tech & Learning, CoSN, and ISTE.
She believes in building relationships and support communities in which teachers feel empowered to become fearless users of technology and facilitators of student innovation. Surrounded by a fantastic team, she is currently providing professional learning opportunities in her district to prepare teachers for an ongoing system-wide implementation of mobile devices and a Learning Management System. Using a flipped professional development model, she is passionate about guiding teachers on the journey to effective technology integration and finding (free!) resources that accommodate individual learning styles aligned with the pedagogy of today's students.

Kate currently serves as the GaETC Program Committee Chair and on the Georgia Department of Education Instructional Technology Advisory Committee. Memberships include CoSN, ISTE, SIGMS and ASCD.
