Katie is a multi-award-winning entrepreneur, technology PR specialist-heading up boutique consultancy, Momentous, and owner-manager of U Star Novels.

Completing her BBus in Australia, she joined Housley Communications a non-vendor specific IT training company as marketing manager. She went on to travel the US & Canada whilst continuing to consult for Housley before heading up PR for Samsung Electronics in the UK, championing the launch of their first mobile phones in the UK.

Momentous was founded in 2002 and delivers PR support for leading UK technology companies such as cloud computing provider, Memset. As well as delivering targeted PR coverage, Katie has entered and won over 60 awards on behalf of her clients.

In 2006, Katie co-founded indy publisher, U Star Novels. Since inception, U Star Novels has been a leader in the field of personalisation technology and challenged the traditional model of publishing when print-on-demand and single print runs were virtually unheard of. Her impressive plans for U Star Novels secured her ‘Business Plan of the Year’ at the 2006 Start Up Awards.

The business went on to be shortlisted as ‘Innovative Business of the Year’ at Sharp Edge Awards backed by Duncan Bannatyne in 2008. U Star Novels was also a HSBC Start Up Star in 2009 and was a Smarta 100 winner in 2011.
