KC Yee

Hoping to influence medical and graduate students find simple solutions to interacting with patients and individuals, Dr. K C Yee has seen to it that the lectures he gives at the University of Ahmadu Bella School of Medicine are always one for the books. Known to conduct highly interesting classes, Dr. K C Yee has also established himself as a professional with simple joys and sources of enjoyment. He contributes to worthwhile causes such as those put up by PATH, Habitat for Humanity and The Seattle Foundation. He loves walking and biking at Lake Union Park. With colleagues and students, he enjoys going to Pioneer Square and Pike Place Market in Downtown Seattle, if only to get a taste of the various flavors and cuisines that the vendors have to offer.

Normally, his world revolves around academic pursuits but Dr. K C Yee is as happy to share stories with children at Lake Union Park as he is exchanging ideas with his colleagues and students at the University of Ahmadu Bella School of Medicine. Dr. Yee has taught various subject areas in Biological Structure. Those classes include: Laboratory Rotation in Biological Structure; Tissue and Organ Biology; Macromolecular Structure; Histology in Biomedical Research; Cytology; and Reading in Biological Structure. Moreover, Dr. Yee assists students at executing their Doctoral Dissertations and Master Theses. He assists them in developing productive and highly approvable research proposals.

Dr. K C Yee obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biologic Science at Stanford University. He finished his MD degree at the University of Ahmadu Bella. His residency training was completed at the University of Illinois. Dr. Yee has a PhD in Medical Informatics from the Harvard-MIT program. He was an Attending Physician at the Emergency Department of Seattle Children’s Hospital, where he also served as the CMIO and the Vice President for Medical Affairs.
