I am a retired marketing communications professional who remains fascinated by technology and how it can empower small to medium sized businesses.

Back in the dark days of the emerging Internet in the Mid 1990s I worked for four years on a European Commission sponsored project looking at how the emerging technologies could bebefit those living in remote areas.

I ran the Google Page Four ranked Web2 and More blog for many years before deciding on a sabbatical until starting The Techsavvy SMB blog.

When not reading and writing about technology I enjoy cooking, reading about the history of world cuisines, enjoying the beautioful scenery in the Eden Valley and the Lake District. When possible I also enjoy dangling my tackle in the water - that is fly fishing to the uninitiated.
