As a teacher, performer, and writer, Rebecca Thomas has always strived to encourage curiosity, creativity, and agency through her work. She has spent most of her life floating between the classroom and performing spaces, while spending her free time researching, writing, or editing. Her background and experience allow her to quickly assess a production’s process and find her place.

Since 2011, she’s narrated nearly two dozen audiobooks and performed in as many audio dramas, channeling her confident, youthful gravitas and her lifelong love for science fiction, fantasy, science, and technology into playing a variety of princesses, scientists, and other clever characters. Between projects, Rebecca writes short stories and novellas and is working on her own audio fiction projects, preparing to brave the worlds of traditional and independent publishing. When she’s not working, she’s reading, watching cartoons and action movies, and drinking tea…sometimes all at the same time.

Beyond the studio, Rebecca blogs about independent learning, communities of practice, and her own learning journey at Genius on Hold. She has taught in various regional history and science museums, planetaria, and after-school science, math, and writing programs, often developing or contributing to educational programming and show production, and independently developed and produced the YouTube EDU channel Dead Bunny Guides.
