Krista Brower
Where evidence meets impact
I’m Krista. I’m a Credentialed Evaluator (CE) and Certified Health Executive (CHE) with over 18 years of experience leading and advancing evaluation, research, and system transformation across healthcare, non-profit, and social service sectors.
I currently serve in an executive leadership role within the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Alberta, while also consulting on independent projects related to evaluation, measurement, strategy, and systems change.
I hold a PhD in Research, Evaluation, and Enhancement, a Master of Education in Measurement, Evaluation, and Data Science, and a Graduate Certificate in Community-Based Research and Evaluation. I am also certified in project and change management methodologies, including Lean Six Sigma and ARECCI Second Opinion Review.
An innovative and collaborative leader, I bring significant governance experience helping organizations create systems that thrive. I currently serve on the Board of Directors of Youth Empowerment & Support Services (YESS), and have served nationally with the Canadian Evaluation Society, including as a member of the Credentialing Board and chair of committees focused on professional learning and equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Alongside my governance and leadership work, I am a published researcher with a focus on evaluation professionalization, system-level change, and applied research in healthcare and social services.
