Kyriakos Chatzidimitriou

Thessaloniki, Greece

I obtained my doctorate and engineering diplomas from the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Greece, in 2012 and 2003 respectively. I have also a MSc degree from the Computer Science department of Colorado State University (CSU), USA, received in 2006.

I am currently a research assistant at the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) at the Centre of Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) working on the FP7 CASSANDRA project.

My research interests include the areas of machine learning, data mining, reinforcement learning, evolutionary computation, neural networks and autonomous agents for real world domains.

In 2009 I received the excellence award for PhD students by the Research Committee of AUTH, while in 2012 with team Mertacor we got the 1st place in the international Trading Agent Competition (TAC) Ad Auctions (AA) game.

I've worked as an intelligent systems, data and software engineer for both european (Agent Academy, CASSANDRA), national and private sector funded R&D projects and as a teaching assistant in Greece and the USA.
