Lara Aulestia has 13 years of media and advertising experience, focusing in digital communications over the past 8 years. She has worked for companies ranging from technology start-ups to those listed in the Fortune 500.
She is the Co-Founder of the #RevoltDC Hackathon and is currently the Senior Director of Business Development for Resonate. At Resonate Lara helps associations and coalitions move public opinion in an effort to impact public policy, and helps candidates influence voters using online tools such as video, display, search, and social media. Resonate is ranked in the INC 500’s “Fastest Growing Companies in America” and by Forbes as one of “America’s Most Promising Companies.”
A seasoned professional in online media, Lara was previously the Director of Online for Clear Channel Communications and worked with both political and consumer clients. There, she lead a team of sellers and developers responsible for the revenue of ten website brands and their associated social platforms, mobile apps and streaming radio stations in Washington DC.
Lara is an active member of the Public Affairs Council and a Corporate Committee Member for the Trust for the National Mall chaired by Laura Bush. She is also a guest lecturer in grassroots and political classes for Georgetown and GW as well as a speaker for trade associations looking to understand the intersection of digital communications and politics.
