I love words.

I love the curve of a drawling -sss, and an x's complexity,

poetry.

Because I am a writer, I am hyper-aware of detail, phonetics, and how to engage an audience in both text and in speech.

Latiana, a queer, native New Yorker, began her college career studying print journalism at Penn State. Upon returning home to NYC, she earned a B.A. in Communication Studies from Pace University.

About a year after that, things started to make sense--entrepreneurship was the secret sauce missing for far too long!

In April 2016, she founded bklynprose.com to teach poetry workshops over food and wine in the park. Two years later, bklynprose is a community-based support system that exists online and in real time. Destigmatizing mental illness is her top priority, and she utilizes the blog, her contributing writers, and well-planned events to do so.

Latiana is well-versed in essay writing, creative writing, and guiding students to think deeply and in a stress-free way.

Her passion and quirky charisma makes her fit for a broad audience. She's a well-oiled, people-oriented machine who loves the stage and performing her poetry. She skateboards, plays the guitar, and wants to start doing improv!
