My name is Sonya and I am the CEO and co-founder of 'LeanOnUs' that launched in 2011. I have been married for almost 30 years and have a teenage son.
LeanOnUs is a charitable international organisation that shares personal experiences and provides resources. We cover a broad range of topics related to life in general, mental health, physical health, social issues and safety.
Due to the nature of our community work at LeanOnUs, I have had the opportunity to be involved in some amazing projects:
Child Protection - Radical and thinking outside the box, Shield Child Protection System was created - a suite of software tools help protect vulnerable children; ShieldCPS, ShieldCPS (CSE), and ShieldCPS (RPT).
ICE - Bob Brotchie at Anglia Counselling, Newmarket is not only a counsellor who provides support, in 2004 he created ICE - In Case of Emergency. In 2015, we celebrated 10 years since ICE reached worldwide recognition and we continue to raise awareness of his original concept.
Carbon Monoxide (CO) Awareness - Stephen Hadley (Advisor to CSI, ANEC and the DG for EC Justice and Consumers Product and Service Safety Unit) has been helping us to raise awareness about the dangers that carbon monoxide can pose.
