Hey there, I’m Lensa. I’m a student at Biola University, Majoring in Christian Ministry. I was born in Ethiopia and came to the U.S when I was thirteen. I am passionate about serving God and people. I want to meet people's spiritual needs by sharing the love and hope of Jesus. I seek to honor Christ by serving others. I also desire to play a role in expanding the kingdom of God by showing mercy and love to the marginalized in society.

In addition to my heart for people, I also have experience teaching God's word, coordinating/organizing events, sharing the gospel as a Global Freedom intern at the Friends Church this past semester. During my internship, I worked alongside the local and global pastor to host weekly Alpha classes exploring the basics of the Christian faith and to coordinate the annual Box of Love for foster children during Christmas season. As a regular volunteer at the Dream Center, I gained experience working with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds and witnessed how meeting people’s physical needs was simply not enough. I found that people were also hungry for relationships and for someone to listen to them. This past summer I also had the opportunity to work with people from diverse age groups and backgrounds as a ministry intern at the Windermere Conference Center. This experience taught me the importance of servant leadership and perseverance no matter how difficult the circumstance.
