Liana Lopez

Liana Lopez is a multi-media journalist, documentarian and photographer whose work has been published in the Houston Press and Phoenix New Times (Village Voice Media), (Houston Chronicle), Aztec Muse Magazine, Democracy Now!, Free Speech Radio News and Ms. Magazine.

She is also the recipient of a Houston Arts Alliance Emerging Artist Grant. Her award-winning exhibition was a multimedia/photography project based on her travels through post-revolutionary Nicaragua.

Liana produces and co-hosts Nuestra Palabra: Latino Writers Having Their Say on 90.1 FM and (Pacifica Radio) in Houston.

As a Social Media Consultant, she has most recently co-created and successfully implemented the Librotraficante Caravan campaign, a 1-week, 3-state, 6-city tour that included multiple events in each city and established 4 libraries. The campaign drew national attention earning New York Times and Houston Chronicle editorials.
