EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Having graduated with a post-graduate degree in BA Marketing Communications in 2008, with Journalism as her ancillary subject, Lindsey started working for Newsclip Media Monitoring in 2009 in the capacity of news reviews writer. By 2009, she had been promoted to various other positions, including editorial assistant, brand specialist for COUP Magazine and journalist for Newsclip’s publishing department. As of 1 December 2011, Lindsey started at Future Publishing writing under the editorship of South Africa’s leading marketing and media journalist and news anchor, Jeremy Maggs. She was then appointed to head up Future Group’s PR division started by Maggs and Yvonne Johnston, where she managed the 3M South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa, and the Lonrho Hotels Group (Africa) accounts.

With her drive to continuously be the ‘over-achiever Chinese nerd’ that she is, Kin says, “Although my ‘nine to five’ has often been described as a fabulous one, behind closed doors it is all ‘sweat, drive and hard work’, in 6-inch heels of course.”

On the lighter side of life, Kin is a self-confessed shoe-a-holic (actually this is an understatement, as it stands, she is currently ‘mommy’ to over 350 pairs of shoes) and our go-to girl when it comes to all things fashion, cuisine and strangely enough cricket. This tiny 1.6 metre tall lady is making waves in the industry ... BUT be warned, behind her lip gloss, Steve Maddens and Fendi handbag, there is a strategic brain to be reckoned with – Watch out world, here comes The Kin!

GETTING TO KNOW LINDSEY PERSONALLY:

A princess who is dreamer; a loyal friend who everyone trusts. Lindsey ALWAYS makes time and goes to the ends of the earth for everybody who is a part of her life. She loves her family like there is no tomorrow; cute as in the teddy bear kind. The girl with the wardrobe that her friends call and use as their shopping mall; a fashionista who can turn a scarf into a designer outfit. Congenial, always polite, happy and the most 'lady like' amongst her friends. A down to earth person who is passionate about everything in life from her work to her 'play'. Lindsey loves food so much that if it were male, she'd probably marry it. However, when it comes to her 'Lindsey Jokes' she often finds herself being the only one who laughs at them (strange kid but adorable).
