Growing up, I was always the weird "horse girl" who just wanted to play outside and be everyone's friend.

Fast forward a few years - not much has changed since then, except that I don't have as much time to play outside. Currently, I am studying Accounting and Business Administration at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, and work at a "Mom-and-Pop" family owned Western Store.

I take a lot of pride in my school work. In my time so far at Tarleton, I've been the Vice President of the Institute of Management Accountants, Vice President of the Accounting Society, Secretary of the Tarleton Ambassadors, Secretary of the Student Senate, and a Senator for the College of Business Administration. Throughout these positions and memberships, I have maintained a 3.8 GPA.

This summer, I participated in a Congressional Internship through the office of the Honorable Congressman Michael Conaway in Washington, D.C. My congressionl internship has been the highlight of my college career - it was an amazing adventure!

As you could probably tell from my introduction, I'm super nostalgic. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, riding my horse, listening to all kinds of music, and attending my favorite college ministry. I also love anything artistic - especially painting (horses, mostly). My favorite place in the world is Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

I have the same love for people and horses as I did growing up, except that my love for people has matured into a love of humanity. I have a strong passion for social advocacy - that's what makes me come alive! I'm constantly intrigued and inspired by the stories of each person I meet, and am always looking for ways to help someone, even if by nothing else but a simple word of encouragement. I also appreciate the fact that every person I meet has something to offer, and vice versa – experience, guidance, and if nothing else, a new perspective.

I am open-minded, honest, and real - even when that means being different. In fact, I like to avoid being too "cookie-cutter" at anything. I am so eager for what the future has in store, and will continue to passionately pursue any opportunities to advance myself both personally and professionally. Thank you for taking the time to learn about me!
