Mme. Lisi is a Core French Teacher with the DSB of Niagara. To start her 10th year of teaching, Mme. Lisi has relocated to the Niagara Region from Kingston, Ontario. Originally from Niagara Falls ( A.N Myer class of 2002), she is happy to be back and closer in distance to her family and friends. With her she brings her 1 year old Sheepadoodle, Mack.
Mme. Lisi has experience teaching Kindergarten to Grade 12, and spent one year teacher English as a Second Language in South Korea (안녕하세요.).Mme. Lisi holds her B.A with Honours from Trent University, her B.Ed from Queen's University and her Master's of Education from Queen's University. In January 2017, she began working towards a Bachelor of Education in Adult Education with Brock University part-time. She is extremely keen when it comes to using technology in the classroom. She enjoys using SMARTboards and iPads in the second language classroom with her students. Mme. Lisi enjoys working with other teachers too. If she is away from the classroom, it is usually because she is learning with other teachers about technology use in the classroom. She also enjoys presenting new ways of engaging young language learners at workshops and conferences in the province.
As of September 2012, Mme. Lisi began to align her Core French programming with the CEFR and teach by way of authentic tasks based on the interest of the students. Authentic tasks in Core French are valuable and purposeful to students in and outside of the classroom. They are motivating and engaging. She creates apositive and respectful classroom environment.
