Schedule an appointment

Hello! I am Lori (she/her/hers) from the beautiful town of Abilene, KS! I am a Graduate Assistant in the Undergraduate Advising Center (UAC) and a graduate student in the Higher Education Administration Program at KU.

I am a 2017 graduate of Haskell Indian Nations University with a Bachelor of Arts in Indigenous and American Indian Studies. Haskell helped me develop a passion for student success, which is where you fit in to my goal of helping students get degrees!

I also earned an Associate Degree in Media Communications at Haskell and have been heavily involved in broadcast and print journalism. I love writing and creating videos whether it’s news related or just for fun.

Other things I love include: Rage Against the Machine, laughing, gin and grapefruit juice, the movie Rushmore, Native artist Steven Paul Judd (google his work!), cheeseburgers, pop culture, Merle Haggard, the book "Power and Place" by Vine Deloria, Jr. and Dr. Dan Wildcat, rain, toast, Hunter S. Thompson, gum, singing, and TACOS--pork tacos, shrimp tacos, steak tacos, breakfast tacos, those little mini-fried meat tacos, Indian tacos….probably going to Fuzzy’s tonight!

Aside from my love of tacos, the most important thing I want you to know about me is that I am committed to ensuring your experience at the University of Kansas will be completely amazing! So, make an appointment, grab a cup of coffee, and let’s drink to your total ninja rise at the University of Kansas! Cheers!
