Louise Cimetta leads the Digital Learning Group at the Catholic Education Office of Western Australia. Louise works with school leadership teams and system leaders to strategically plan for 'going digital'. She and her group work with staff from 161 schools across the state and the staff of the Catholic Education Office to integrate and innovate with ICT in education.
Originally training as an early childhood teacher, Louise has taught across most primary year levels and held leadership positions in several schools. Louise is an Apple Distinguished Educator and has presented at state and national conferences.
Louise sees technology as a powerful vehicle for personalising and maximising learning for students and educators. Louise's current interests include adult facilitation and the use of digital technologies to personalise teacher professional learning. She is a strong advocate for contemporary learning spaces and designed the Contemporary Learning Hub at the Newman Siena Centre.
In her spare time Louise enjoys creating mixed media artworks.
