Lynne Sherbondy
Writer, Producer, and Presentation Coach in New York
Lynne grew up in Las Vegas amidst mobsters, showgirls, and nuclear testing. But that's for another bio.
As a screenwriter, she's written numerous corporate videos — most notably for American Express, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Goldman Sachs, The New York Stock Exchange, and The New York Times. Her film script, Gone, was once listed by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as one of the top 30 best unproduced screenplays. (Lynne's not sure if that's a good thing, or a bad thing.) She recently adapted Gone for the stage.
Her experience as a playwright includes adapting, co-producing, and performing in a two-woman show in NYC based on the writings of Dorothy Parker, directed by Anna Deveare Smith. Her first full-length play was recommended to the Humana Festival by Michael Kaiser, then President of the Kennedy Center. Her second was a semi-finalist at the O’Neill National Playwrights Conference. Gone is Lynne's third full-length play.
As a poet, her work has been featured in the anthology, Crystal Clear and Cloudy (Polaris). Her latest book of poems, All the world collected (Finishing Line Press), was published in February of 2024.
Lynne has also earned several awards as a writer/producer. She won a CINE Golden Eagle for her work on the NYSE visitors center film, It All Starts Here — at one point, the fourth largest tourist attraction in NYC — and has three Telly Awards. Additionally, Lynne served as a Story Analyst for Academy Award-winning director, Jonathan Demme, and an Associate Producer/Story Editor for Vanguard Films, where she created and developed an incredibly ill-fated sitcom.
As a presentation coach, Lynne has more than 15 years experience working with high-level executives across industries and services lines helping them tell their story. Currently, her focus is on coaching first-time candidates running for state, local, and national office.
Lynne holds a BA in Theatre Arts from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas; a MS in Counseling from Fordham University; and a MFA in Film from Columbia University.
