Mandy Mandelstein

Brooklyn, NY

Mandy Mandelstein is a director, cinematographer, and visual interactive artist living and working in New York City. She originally hails from Ausitn, Tx where she was raised on a healthy dose of punk rock and Andy Warhol. While video is main medium of her work, she’s interested in all mediums involving light, including photography, projection, and light sculpture. She received a BFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in Film, TV, and New Media with a concentration on Directing and Cinematography. When she’s not busy shooting, she is learning interactive video technology to someday fulfill her dream of covering the city in reactive light art. Her work often revolves around the connections between people, ever changing technology, and the physical world around us.
